Green computing as an operating practice
AI workloads consume real energy. We treat efficiency as an engineering and procurement discipline, measured and reviewed rather than claimed.

What we actually do
Four areas where efficiency decisions are made in the course of normal operations.
Cooling Efficiency
Cooling configuration selected according to rack density and local climate conditions, with airflow management to reduce the energy spent on heat removal.
Energy Sourcing
Where facilities and tariff options allow, renewable or lower-carbon energy sources are prioritised in the supply arrangements.
Equipment Lifecycle
Rental models extend the useful life of equipment across multiple engagements, and end-of-life handling follows applicable environmental requirements.
Workload Scheduling
Where the workload allows, jobs are scheduled to make better use of available capacity rather than leaving equipment idle under load.
How we set targets
Measurement first
Energy and resource consumption recorded so that improvement can be assessed against a baseline rather than assumed.
Efficiency in selection
Equipment and facility choices made with power efficiency as one of the evaluation criteria, not only price and performance.
Reduction over time
Consumption reviewed periodically, with reduction actions taken where they are technically and commercially feasible.
Transparency with clients
Environmental considerations documented in proposals where relevant, so clients can factor them into their own reporting.
We do not publish percentage reduction figures without a verified baseline. Where a client requires specific environmental data for their own reporting, the measurement scope and method are agreed in the engagement contract.
What this means for your reporting
Supports client-side ESG and sustainability reporting
Lower energy consumption per unit of compute over time
Extended equipment life through rental and reuse
Environmental terms documented in engagement contracts
Who we work with
Facility and Energy Providers
Working with facilities that publish efficiency information, and selecting supply arrangements that support lower-carbon operation.
Equipment Manufacturers
Prioritising equipment with recognised energy efficiency ratings and documented lifecycle information.
Clients and Projects
Sharing consumption data where agreed, so that clients can account for the environmental profile of their own workloads.
